Entry Criteria

To apply for the MSc Public Health (Full-Time, Online), applicants must meet the following requirements:

Academic Qualifications

  • A 2:2 honours degree (UK) or equivalent international qualification in a relevant subject such as public health, social sciences, medicine, nursing, or life sciences.
  • Applicants with alternative academic backgrounds and significant relevant work experience will also be considered.

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in all components) or a comparable English language qualification.
  • Exemptions may apply for applicants with prior education in English.

Accreditation and Quality Assurance

This programme is designed to align with the APHEA Core Curriculum Areas.

The MSc programme is delivered over three semesters, with evening sessions (19:00–21:00 GMT) to accommodate students across time zones and work schedules.

  • PH70012 – Public Health Policy (20 credits)
  • PH70015 – Medical Sociology (20 credits)

Semester 2: Global Perspectives & Research

  • PH70016 – Global Health (20 credits)
  • PH70019 – Research Methods (Taught Dissertation Module) (20 credits)
  • PH70013 – Health Promotion (20 credits)

Semester 3: Leadership & Application

  • PH70014 – Leadership in Public Health (20 credits)
  • PH70018 – Environmental Health (20 credits)
  • PH70019 – Dissertation (Supervised) (20 credits)

Each module integrates live teaching, independent learning, and interactive assignments. One-to-one dissertation supervision is provided in the final semester.

  • Weekly live online tutorials with Q&A (Wednesdays, 7 PM – 9 PM)
  • Dedicated tutor support for individual assignments
