Valerie

Valerie is an experienced University Lecturer and Clinical Skills Educator. Her professional qualifications/registrations/awards include MPhil in Healthcare Research and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Valerie is also a Florence Nightingale Foundation Scholar.  Her MPhil research dissertation focussed on cardiac disease withing the non-English speaking Turkish diaspora in London. Valerie is passionate about supporting nursing students with additional learning needs.

Valerie is a NMC Registered General Nurse and worked clinically as a cardiac rehabilitation nurse specialist in London where she developed an interest in cardiac disease and migrant health. To ensure that she maintains her clinical skill, she currently works as a nurse consultant with the charity Irish in Britain.
